Young Girl With Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer....what Are The Chances Of Dying And The Chances Of Living?

I?m sorry but there is no one on the planet that knows if her treatment will work or not. We can hope and pray it does, but there are no guarantees In addition to the stage the other factors used as a guide for prognosis is the grade and how much of the disease was removed. You don?t mention the last two factors and they are very important. Prognosis is not divided into living or dyeing, cancer is not that cut and dried, at best all we can do is use statistics as a general guideline. Only knowing it is a stage 3 and nothing else her 5 year survival rate is about 30%. I hope all goes well.

Young Girl With Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer....what Are The Chances Of Dying And The Chances Of Living?

I was surprised that the developments that have been made in treatment for ovarian cancer.
Apparently most are not even found until stage 3.
The chances actuallly depend on the treatment and if the cancer reoccurs.

I know that at most cancer centers you can find support groups in the area, for the patient and people that care about them.

I don't know all that much about it, but from what I've heard... the bad news is that ovarian cancer is one of the nastier ones with a lower survival rate, but the good news is that the survival rate is higher the younger you are.
Best wishes - I'll be praying for her.
