What Should I Do If I Can't Have A Bowel Movement? ?

Postby camdene » Mon Oct 02, 2017 11:45 am

So Im 5 years out of a bonemarrow transplant for leukemia. But now have a joint disease and have to be on morphine. But now it causes Me extreme constipation iI've tried everything miralax fiber water laxatives, stool softeners my doctor even prescribed Me something called lactalose. I have constipation so bad it makes me have chest pain, and I will literally go almost 2 weeks before I have a bowel movement! But even when I do go It's not enough. If anyone has any ideas PLEASE HELP ME! I've told my doctors But they just don't understand! Thanks!!!

I don't know much about your specific condition, but I would recommend more fibre in your diet-perhaps 'all-bran' for breakfast. If this still doesn't help ask your Doctor to refer you to a nutritionist, who will certainly have the answer.
