What Quote Should I Get For My Tattoo?

Postby Denver » Fri Sep 01, 2017 8:17 pm

I am planning to get a tattoo to dedicate to my grandmother who passed away this year. She died of ovarian cancer and was a survivor of brest cancer. She was born in may and i already plan to get a small tattoo of a lilly of the valley which is the signature flower of may. It's very feminine and i want it on the upper inside of my rib.. I think it needs a quote though but i cant think of any that arent too long. I would like it to be inspiring, about life and enjoying it being who you are etc.

Any ideas?

you should try choosing something that would be of significance to you and your grandma. you could try thinking of someone she admired, maybe an artist, singer, actress, scientist whatever, then google his name and maybe youll find a quote that speaks to you, for example if she liked Vincent Van Gogh you could find a quote from him. you can google inspirational quotes or try in memory quotes to find one that you think is good for you. good luck!

i am sorry for your loss. i lost my gramma too this past year.

I would just go with the lilly, writing can be tacky/cheesy. You know what the lilly symbolizes, sometimes words aren't necessary, especially if the right words/quote isn't coming to you. Get her initials in heiroglyphs or something lol

That's a tough one as I have also thought about this for my mom who was also born in May.
It will be a beautiful tattoo and you will be so happy to have it.
I found a site for you to look through.
Go to: http://www.gaia.com/quotes/topics/life Some real nice thoughts.
Maybe a good place to start.
So very sorry for your loss.
She was really tested, wasn't she! Stay well yourself and I hope this helps!
