Most skin cancer develops slowly and can take several forms. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can develop quickly and is deadly. It is characterized by an irregular shape and rapid changes, such as increased size within 1 month.

Most skin cancers are "cut it out and forget about it". Melanoma is very aggressive and can be deadly.

A non-melanoma skin cancer means it is a type of skin cancer that is not melanoma. Probably a basal cell or a squamous cell carcinoma as they are much more common and not as agressive as melanoma.

non is begin meaning it is not cancer, but melanoma is cancer and grows very quickly. My mother had skin cancer that was removed
