They always are.
The bone marrow is indeed the organ where blood cells are produced.
Cancers of the bone marrow include over a dozen types of leukemia
and the plasma cell dyscrasia multiple myeloma.
The cortex of the bone is where primary bone malignancies
and metastatic cancers to the bone develop.
Cancers can also metastasize to the bone marrow.
It gets a bit complicated.
That's why it takes 13 years of higher education to be a cancer specialist doctor.
