What Is The Difference Between Bone Cancer And Cancer Of The Bone Marrow?

Tarkarri and Denise are right of course.
They always are.

The bone marrow is indeed the organ where blood cells are produced.

Cancers of the bone marrow include over a dozen types of leukemia

and the plasma cell dyscrasia multiple myeloma.

The cortex of the bone is where primary bone malignancies

and metastatic cancers to the bone develop.

Cancers can also metastasize to the bone marrow.

It gets a bit complicated.

That's why it takes 13 years of higher education to be a cancer specialist doctor.

Bone cancer is generally in the calcified supportive structure of the bone.

Cancer in the bone marrow is..... in the bone marrow, the soft tissue inside the bones where blood cells are produced.
