What does pancreatic ductal dilation mean?

CT scan done and comment made on report was pancreatic ductal dilation. This report in on an 81 year of female that was diagonosed with pancreatic cancer. After chemo treatments the tumor is no longer present.

Pancreatic, of course, means of the pancreas. Ductal refers to a duct. And dilation means widening (increase in diameter). So this phrase means that the ducts of the pancreas have opened wider.

According to what I've read, it is one indicator of a high risk of pancreatic cancer.
