What Are The Chances Of Surviving Lung Cancer For A 16-17 Year Old?

Postby Laughlin » Thu Feb 09, 2017 8:36 am

Okay, so i know this guy, and he means a lot to me, and he apparently got diagnosed

lung cancer. he's a teenager, he's sixteen, and apparently he got this because of second hand smoke, where he's always around with his parents, grandparents, cousins, who smoke (BUT HE DOES NOT SMOKE). i'm not so sure yet how early he caught it because i know that the earlier he knows he caught it the more curable it is.....according to him it triggered this tumor?

please explain to me....and tell me if he WILL survive or not.......

At 16 or 17 years of age you don't get lung cancer from second hand smoke.

Sorry ------ But he is lying to you.

He doesn't have a tumor in his lung & why he is telling you this is beyond me.

It takes years of tobacco abuse for a patient to develop lung cancer.

Teenagers don't get lung cancer; and it's extremely rare in anyone under 40.

And smoking related lung cancer takes decades to develop; he has not been in the world long enough to develop it. I

Sorry, it looks as if you're being lied to

EDIT* and we all thought you were the one being lied to. Turns out you're doing the lying

He will survive the lung cancer because he doesn't have it.
Firstly he's too young, secondly how would he know it was from second hand smoke?
