I ignored the clicking/grinding thing for a long time but lately it has bother me. it is annoying and i have had this for maybe 5 years or longer. my dog died also and i never really knew why but i suspect it was also the collar. when I move my throat around it just doesn't feel right at all. I can push up and down on the right side of my throat and it pushes up and down and makes a click sound also.

It doesn't have anything to do with the flea collar thing. They contain a nasty chemical but if you got enough to cause a problem you would have been sick at the time. The old style flea collars were thought to shorten an animals life by maybe a few months but if your dog died it would have had something else wrong with it.

You have a voice box (adams apple) in your throat that you can move around with your fingers. Don't know why it wopuld click. maybe just like a clicking joint. Like most things, if you keep poking it or playing with it you will make it feel sore. If it bothers you that much see a doctor, but don't be suprised if they tell you there is nothing wrong
