Unemployed & Sick Mom - How To Get Financial Help?

Postby Megedagik » Sat Oct 07, 2017 10:04 am

My mom is 58 years old and recently got divorced. She had been a housewife and never worked at a job before. She has spent the last couple of years taking classes so that she could get a job.

Recently, she has fallen ill and is unable to use her hands, and sometimes her legs.

My mom is running out of money from the divorce and now I need to take care of her (let her live with me, provided food for her, etc).

She cannot get unemployment because she has not worked.

We have no family to help us.

What financial support can I get from the government and how?

Please help!

Don't worry, there is help for you to consider. When it comes to medical expenses she can apply for medical, Medicaid or low income policies which are available through hospitals. As for income welfare can be explored. Also call thc, phone and cable companies and explain your situation so they will put her in a low income category. God bless you and I will be praying for you both.
