Two Lumps- Several Months?

Postby Wohehiv » Mon Oct 09, 2017 11:36 pm

I year ago, I found a lump , it was only about half a pea size, I was concerned but advised to wait a few weeks to see if it would go. It didn't and so I booked an appointment. The doctor said she thinks it is a vein lump, and if it grows to go back and see her. It did grow.

Then a few months later and I find another lump, in my tongue. It was very painful and inflamed. It is right in the centre of my tongue. So, because my other lump had grown and I found this one, I waited a few weeks to see if it would go, it didn't, thus, off I went to the docs. He wasn't sure what the lump in my tongue was but because of my age (14) he said there was nothing to worry about, it is rare he said.

Ok, It put my mind to rest but it has been about 4/5 months and they are both well and truly here, the first lump has probably double/tripled in size, and my tongue one feels as though it is growing, very slowly. I am concerned as no one can give me a near definite answer of these lumps. And because cancer is so rare in teens, it isn't being taken into account. Now I know going online probably won't solve much but if anyone could shed some light on this, it would b greatly appreciated. Thankyou

The lumps could be developing due to inflammation or blood infection....

This could be affecting the tissue in your tongue.
