Swelling Under Head Of Penis

Postby Ambrose » Fri Apr 15, 2016 12:13 am

So the other night while having sex with my girlfriend, i began to feel a bit of pain on my penis. As though my penis was being touched while dry. I asked her to get off to see what the problem was exactly and found that under the right side of my penis, there seemed to have been a sort of blood clot. Color was purple. By next morning the swelling was for the most part gone but now there is still discoloration, what seems to be a bump under the skin, and some disfigurement of my foreskin. Through out this, I have not experienced, if at all, any pain. I am not circumcised, I've done my own bit of research and the closest things I can find are "Lymphoceles" or "Paraphimosis". Lymphoceles discriptions seem the closest but some images of paraphimosis look how my penis did. I can not seem to find any pictures lymphoceles. What do you think it could be?

Swelling Under Head Of Penis

Paul Give this a little time to heal no matter the cause. It sounds like a broken blood vessel(hematoma) in the foreskin that needs to reabsorb. During intercourse if not properly lubricated the penile skin or foreskin can become stuck to the vaginal wall and if intercourse continues then the tissue can be pulled to a point of breaking a vessel internally or even ripping the skin open in extreme rare occasion. The swelling reduction is a good sign of minimal injury but the purple color sounds like blood under the skin. Blood from a broken vessel will reabsorb in approximately 2 weeks give or take a few days. The tissue should turn yellowish within the bruise as it reabsorbs , this is a good indication of healing. Be mindful if she is not wet during penetration to use some KY or equivalent water based lubricant. If a lump under the skin forms within a month or two and does not resolve then a penile ultrasound is necessary to rule out Peyronies disease. Paraphimosis is a condition that causes inability to allow the foreskin to contract back over the glans penis, it is not documented as a swelling condition but a swelling condition is the usual cause. Lymphocele is a swelling of the tissue with lymphatic fluid(clear or yellow fluid) vs blood under the skin as the source of edema. Therefore in conclusion I do not think you have either condition if the foreskin can contract back over the glans and the tissue was bruised purple. A simple hematoma is far more likely.
