Swelling On The Lower Scrotum - Testicular Cancer?

Postby Rodas » Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:19 am

So there is a hard lump on the lower part of my scrotum, it's only just arrived there. Would this be early stage of cancer, or just a lump caused by something else? For example I was sat down on a hard stool in the same position for about an hour, earlier today.

Also if I were to get checked out, would I be able to do it anonymously?

testicular cancer is one of the most dangerous but most treatable cancers..its very unlikely to be cancer but it wont go away by ignoring it. see a doctor as a matter of urgency, you cant take a chance with your life. good luck,

Any cancerous lumps would be felt on your testicle not on your scrotum itself.
It's probably just a harmless cyst but please do get it checked out. If you don't want to go to your GP you could go to your local hospital's STD department and just say you wasn't sure what it was.

Added. Ok that does sound like a cyst, I had one when I was 18. It burst when I went swimming in the sea, a fair bit of blood and yellow pus but completely gone an hour or two later.

on the scrotum is not testicular cancer.

it's probably an infected hair folicle, boil or a spot. they can get very hard and feel like a lump about the size of a 5p or a pea.

if it's not gone in a few days see a doctor about it.

your scrotum is attatched to you, so no you cant do it anonymously, you have to see your doctor, they will not tell anyone.
