Skin Cancer??

Postby Rosario » Wed Apr 19, 2017 1:40 pm

I just have a question about skin cancer... if someone has it, how do they treat it? Do they go through chemo or do they just cut off the skin around the infection site? Please help! Thanks

Skin Cancer??

Postby reginhard » Wed Apr 19, 2017 1:49 pm

i have had 6 or 7 different skin cancers removed over the years. what the doctor did was take a small sample to start with and determined what kind of cancer it was. then i went back and had a larger piece removed which was also sent off to a pathologist. i went back a third time to make sure he got all of it. isn't very painful but can leave scars. hope this helps.

It's removed surgically and then biopsied to see if it's malignant
