Pancreatic Cancer..............?

Postby ulric » Mon Aug 28, 2017 12:29 pm

My grandmother was diagnosed about a week ago with cystic pancreatic cancer. I don't know a lot about it, but the doctor says she has spots on her liver and a couple other places. She has a huge tumor that they were not able to remove. Exactly what stage of cancer would she have and how long will she possibly live? They are going to start her on some pill tomorrow to treat it. From what I understand it will possibly shrink the tumor and keep the cancer from spreading... Anyways, her heart is out of rhythm and has been for quite some time. Will the pill effect her heart?

Pancreatic Cancer..............?

In general pancreatic cancer has a poor prognosis and it is impossible to cure if it cannot be removed. It is not possible to tell you the exact stage with no information. If those spots are metastatic disease then it is a stage 4. The median survival is 2-6 months.
