My Mom Has Thyroid Cancer...?

Postby bordin » Mon Oct 09, 2017 2:09 pm

My mom just found out she has thyroid cancer, I don't know how serious -but the doctor wants to talk with her face to face, and I'm at a lost. You see I love my mom, but she and I don't always get along...

And so I'm asking what do I do? How can I help and be a better son? I don't want to make her feel like it's the end of the world by suddenly being overly nice. At the same time I feel so guilty for how much I've ignored and at times hated her.

I'm also at a lost religiously. My mom is a good person, I've always been the d*ck. Why is God punishing her?

Thanks. And please serious and helpful comments.

Well, she will for sure need to get her thyroid surgically removed, and possibly follow-up treatment.
You should be there for her, help her out when she needs things (driving to appointments, cooking dinner, cleaning the house).
Don't beat yourself up for being less than perfect in the past, just try to be a better person and son from now on.
Good luck to you both!

Usually not a fatal disease, responds well to medication.

Be there for your mom.

A few months ago, I was very sick, zero energy, freezing cold, depressed, weight gain, thought I was dying. I read every word of this Hypothyroidism Revolution program and followed all the advice. My life turned around the first week. I started to feel human again. Within weeks my energy came back and I felt like living again.

Hypothyroidism, or low thyroid function, is a silent epidemic, according to many functional medicine doctors. How to cure hypothyroidism naturally https://tr.im/89T0p

People can suffer for years with symptoms that our conventional medical system frequently doesn?t know how to treat because complaints seem scattered or vague and often there is no pill for the ill(s).

What?s worse, in most cases, hypothyroidism isn?t rooted in a thyroid problem in the first place. It?s rooted in an immune system gone awry, but most doctors don?t test for the antibodies that show the presence of autoimmunity.

there are four different types of thyroid cancer. three are almost never fatal. all are treatable, except the 4th. fortunately, the 4th, fatal type is very rare. i had a thyroidectomy to check for cancer. my oncologist said that thyroid cancer is the easiest to treat, as it is always thyroid cancer.
it generally doesn,t metastasize. he said if anyone had to choose a cancer; thyroid would be the easiest to deal with.
