Postby Honorato » Sun Apr 23, 2017 10:19 am

I was wondering what the difference between these were, and what were the symptoms of both?

Leukemia Vs. Bone Cancer?

Bones are basically made up of the stony hard tissue that support the stature of the body. However, there are inside the hard bones soft tissue spaces containing the bone marrow. In long bones the marrow is in the center of the shaft. In "flat" bone like vertebrae, ribs, sternum and iliac bone the bone marrow occupies small pouches intermingled with trabeculae of hard bone, like the spaces in a sponge.

Bone cancer is malignancy in the nutrient cells of the hard bone and tumour would destroy bone locally by its expansion with severe pain and possible fractures.

Leukemia is one type of malignancy that occurs in the soft bone marrow cells. Expansion of leukemia does cause some thinning of the bone but this is not the main problem. Bone marrow produces blood cells. Leukemic cells occupying the marrow eventually wipe out normal marrow cells and causes reduction in normal blood cells (red cells, white cells and platelets). This could be an acute type with fast development of the complication or a chronic one that takes time to abolish normal marrow cells. Diminution of red cells is anemia. Low healthy leukocytes leads to susceptibility to infection. Low platelets predisposes to bleeding. Additionally, like any other cancer leukemia causes loss of weight and fever.

Leukemia is a cancer that forms in the bone marrow and leads to malformed blood cells that are produced there.

Bone cancer (osteosarcoma) is a tumor that forms in the bone itself.

Leukemia Vs. Bone Cancer?

leukemia is straight up a blood disorder,it can develop overtime. At the same time it can also be diagnosed at birth. It can be the multiplied of to many white blood cells,or even the corruption of the white blood cells making them attack red blood cells instead of invading bacteria. They have different stages for the 3 types of leukemia.

while leukemia is a blood disorder,in my opinion bone cancer is worse, bone cancer is a bone marrow type.It can end up to having to amputate a certain area.It can cause the tissue to grow weak and develop to a point in which it isn't able to move.

symptoms for leukemia is pale skin, more tired, not able to move even up to a foot ,might get harder to breath.

symptoms of bone cancer is practicably the same but only you limp(of course)you feel pain on one or more specific point.
