Is smoking tobacco once a month bad?

As in rolling tobacco. Is it bad for you to smoke 1 every month or every 2 months?
I seriously dont see how it can be bad for you and cause you to get lung cancer but people think otherwise.

No amount of tobacco is good for you. Smoking once per month is less bad than smoking every day.

Of course it is bad for you. Youre lungs are for breathing in plain air to extract oxygen. Putting anything else in them can harm them.

It sure is worse than not smoking it. I'm sure if you could limit your self to once a month, it wouldn't be really bad, but it's still bad, and it will almost always lead to being more than once a month.
Verdict: bad idea

Smoking any kind of tobacco is hazardous to your health. Every time you inhale that smoke 63 cancer causing carcinogens into your lungs, and some of the it stays in your lungs.

People die every day from smoke inhalation. Why would anybody intentionally inhaled smoke?

The smoke itself in that small quantity won't hurt you, but the possibilty of becoming addicted to the most addicive substance in the world is the risk.

Cigarette manufacturers put stuff into cigarettes to make them addictive. You'll just be another sucker who fell for it.

Nice going dumbass.

better then smoking everyday, but still bad for your lungs
tobacco is bad because it effects your lungs and makes the oxygen exchange process much harder, it could kill children

Any smoking is bad for you. It isn't an opinion, it is a fact that smoking increases your chance of getting lung cancer. Whilst smoking once a month as opposed to everyday lessens the likelihood of getting lung cancer, there are also genetic factors that contribute to it that are beyond your control. So there are some individuals who smoke rarely and still get lung cancer and others that smoke regularly and will not get it. So if you can control one thing which would decrease your chances of getting lung cancer, you should do it.
However, lung cancer isn't the only thing you are at risk of if you smoke. You can suffer from emphysema (permanent scaring of lung tissue) and various other forms of irreversible lung damage. This will mean you won't be able to breathe properly, you could get a smokers cough (as your body tries to cough up fibrous, scarred lung tissue) and you won't be able to uptake oxygen as efficiently as the alveoli (tiny parts of your lungs) will be damaged (decreasing the surface area for uptake of oxygen). Furthermore, you inhale carbon monoxide which binds with the haemoglobin in the blood preventing oxygen from being transported. So parts of your body could die if deprived of oxygen for long enough.
You are also putting others at risk because they might passively smoke and that is unfair because they have chosen not to smoke.
So why risk it? You wouldn't jump off a building and hope not to die, so why would you do the same by smoking? Sorry if this sounded like a rant, I just think it's silly to smoke if you know it's harming you. I hope you understand why it is bad for you now. :)
