Is hodgkin's lymphoma(nodular sclerosis) completly curable?

Postby irvyn62 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 10:05 am

No cancer is completely curable, the definition of cancer cures, as used at the moment is in relationship to people surviving with treatments such as Chemo, Radiation and surgery who survive 5 years or more once treatment is complete. Most Doctors will use the term remission. Cancer can always come back.

There are over 200 cancers identified so far and each type has its own cure rate.

To answer your question, yes, Hodgkins Lymphoma is very treatable, especially if caught early and depending on the stage. In some cases it has been shown the remission rate or (Cure) rate is over 90%
