Flatpaw and William C are correct.
You can be Steve Jobs and still lose a battle with pancreatic cancer.
They present with symptoms only late in the disease course.
All of our 100 plus chemo drugs just bounce off that kind of cancer.
Radiation and surgery are rarely enough.
In my medical practice rich or poor were always treated the same
- even if I had to pay for their drugs and treatment out of my own pocket.

Who is Andy Anderson? Pancreatic cancer is very, very tough to beat, having insurance or money or not.
It's not about being poor or not affording treatment. It's just a very aggressive illness that is very hard to overcome.

The odds of surviving pancreatic cancer are below 5% and it does not matter how much money you have. You are lucky to live 3 years.
