I've Been Really Really Sick But Tests Don't Show Anything Help?

Postby Amiti » Sun Oct 01, 2017 3:04 pm

I've had several enlarged lymph nodes that are rapidly growing in size on the right side of my neck & near my collar bone. Running fevers for weeks at a time. I'm always tired, really bad nausea, loss of appetite, my right ear swells shut (PAINFUL) , the right side of my face swells, and my thyroid becomes enlarged & then goes back to normal size. I've seen 3 different doctors, been tested for lupus, cancer markers, lyme disease, rhuematoid, cat scratch disease, thyroid levels have been tested & numerous other things all came back negative except my vitamin D levels were really low. I had an ultrasound done on my thyroid a few days ago & they said everything was normal. I'm trying to get in to see an ENT hopefully soon. I'm so frustrated, I feel HORRIBLE but all the tests come back "normal" or on the high end of the normal range. I don't know what to do. Has anyone else been through this or know of anyone who has? I'm at a loss. One doctor said I was a "mystery". I just want to feel better. PLEASE HELP!

Hold out for the ENT. Did your blood tests show elevated leukocytes, possibly? Because it sounds like an infection, but I can't believe nobody looked for one. Also, your dentist may have some clues.

I just want to respond to what the person above me wrote

First of all, in all honesty. I think you have Lyme Disease. Lyme tests are SO INACCURATE. they only detect less than HALF THE CASES OF LYME. theyre so inaccurate that highly skilled lyme specialists dont even run tests on you....they just go by your symptoms

You need to see a lyme specialist. taking doxy is only going to do so much. and unlike what the person above me wrote, taking two doxy capsules a day ISNT ENOUGH. you need to take 4 a day to actually kill the lyme. and two months of treating lyme ISNT ENOUGH. you need multiple antibiotics. not just one , to get rid of lyme. also ticks carry other diseases. co infections such as bartonella, babesia and erlichia. they are all transmitted in ONE BITE from a tick.

you need to search online for ILADS lyme doctors.

GOOD LUCK!

It sounds like Lyme disease.

The tests only detect about 50% of cases.

The best thing to is to buy some antimaleria tablets (Doxycycline).

Take two a day for a couple of weeks.

If you have Lyme disease they should clear most of the major symptoms in that time.

You'll need to take it for a month or two to completely get rid of Lyme disease.

Taking the tablets won't hurt you.
If they help then you know that you have a bacterial infection that might be Lyme disease.
