How to help someone with more than one problem?

Postby jameson » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:47 am

Ok so, here is some background knowledge about my father. My father is 68 years old and im 16. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer of '08 later in the year the gave him all the steps for the cancer but it was to late because of the Dr we had found out to late and my father complained about a pain he had, to which the Dr replied it was just arthritis. So we found a new Dr being my mother unsatisfied. So this new Dr found out and gave him everything it need to take right not hes on blood thinners, and oxycodone which he kept getting higher doses, then the Dr gave him a new medication called morphine, still not working. But anyways in the late year of '09 they scanned my father and found a tumor on the back of his neck so they gave him a DES to lower something in him. And just this week my father went back the the specialist and found yet another tumor right under his jaw on his neck. But im not asking for pity, hes been going through bad stuff as you can see, i just want to know how i can help my father.

There is nothing new about morphine and your dad only has one problem he has stage 4 prostate cancer and there is nothing you can do about it.

His doctors are trying to control his pain.

Spend as much time with him as possible, do as your told, stay out of trouble and clean up after yourself.
