How Long Can Someone Live W/ Colon Cancer?

Depends on the stage....if you are having chemo, I guess it would be stage 3/4.
Chemo for stage 1/2 colon cancer is unusual (surgery alone is generally effective in the early stages)

A stage 3 colon cancer patient, with effective surgery and adjuvant chemo has a 70% chance of surviving 5 years.
After 5 years, they don't follow up the statistics.

A stage 4 patient's chances are considerably less as the disease is more advanced.

Only the patient's doctor, with the full information on the type and extent of the cancer can give a good picture.

But, if the surgery and chemo are successful, a colon cancer patient can have a long, normal life once treatment is completed.
But it will be a tiring time and take some time to get through and recover fully from the treatment.

My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer which spread to his bladder, prostate, and now the pelvis, two years ago.

There's always hope.

Good luck & God Bless.
