How Can I Find Doctors Overseas? Like Specialist From China Or Any Part Of Asia? Any Idea Or Advice?

Postby Moren » Tue Oct 03, 2017 1:56 pm

I am a cancer survivor of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, a form of head and neck cancer that is commonly found in older Asian men. I am caucasian, did a background check n there is no asian blood in my family. However, it has happened to a few others that I am aware of in the USA that are not Asian as well.

Even though I am a survivor I am still suffering from numerous issues caused by the treatment. I still cant eat or drink by mouth, its been this way since 2004, I live off a liquid diet that I insert through a feeding tube ( Peg Tube ) which is inserted into my abdomen. I cant eat or drink by mouth for several reasons, I can barely open my mouth cause of severe TMJ, limited movement of my tongue and soft pallate is paralyzed so if I try to eatbor drink I choke, the liquid that does go down goes into my lungs which cause asperation, which later leads to pnuemonia. My left vocal cord is paralyzed as well, all this damage caused by the radiation treatment I received in 2004.

I have searched for specialist in numerous areas of medicine hoping that there is a Dr out there who might be able to help a little.
I am not looking for a miracle, every little bit of improvement in my life will be HUGE. I figuree since this type of cancer is more common in Asians that they might have other methods, procedures, therapies or even surgery that could help me some what.

I am willing to travel anywhere in the world if there is a slight chance of improving my life a little, so if I am able to find a Dr who thinks he or she could help I woukd travel to Asia to meet them. So does anybody know how I could search for Dr's overseas? Is there websites I can look up?

Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and God Bless

I am a foreign Chinese from Australia, it is going to sound bizarre however I love China greater than Australia, I planed to labored in China subsequent 12 months as an English instructor, hehe. I have many peers from mainlaind China right here in Australia. I consider they love China such a lot. Surveys confirmed that Chinese mainland have the maximum nationalism in comparison to any nation guys on the earth. However, established on my expereince, no longer all Chinese blood man or woman like China (lower than one million%), the ones one million% are mostly the member of Falungong that was once banned by means of China again in 19st.

It is more common in Asians and a lot of it has to do with diet, but it also associated with EBV. It is not as if these cancers do not happen here because they do.

I don?t know where you live, I?m LA and we have a very diverse population here and I would be more comfortable going to a hospital with a larger Asian population than I would going to China for treatment.

Better yet I would call my state registry and ask what hospital treats this cancer the most or call every state registry where they are likely to top rated cancer centers and go there for a consult.

You may also want to join online support groups and see if you get any help there.

Hope that helps. If I knew the best place to go for that I would tell you.
