Help on my Science Fair Project?

Postby albany94 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 11:03 pm

Hi. I'm in highschool and i'm looking for a good question and experiment for my science fair project. I want to do a project about either Breast, Lung, or Skin Cancer. My only problem is that I need the "question" of the experiment and I need a idea of what to do my experiment on ;and I need my project to be actually a experimentation, NOT just a research report about cancer.

example:

Question: Which mascara is more waterproof?

Experiment: I tested it by going in my pool with different types of mascara on and seeing which one ran down my face the most.

That mascara idea could work. But remember, you need to keep the experiment as controlled at possible. Instead of jumping in the pool, drop a certain number of water drops on your eyelashes, then measure the run distance. Do this a few times with each mascara. If you want, try it on different people with different kinds of hair to see if it changed anything. Then try to look in the ingredients of the mascara to see which ingredients you think may be causing one to be better than another.
