I also provide osteoperosys, heart problems and many-many other problems, especially muscle problems, my doctor got me on predinisone since he believes it's fibromyalea or something similar to that.Is there anyone nowadays understand what I might do or consider as organic supplements to fix the issue with my weight and belly?? I've tried every diet and every diet tablet but nothing worked. I was informed by my doctor that my inflated belly may get back on track in sis weeks, now it's nearly ten years and it's getting worse, I'm 2 and a half-times my weight now, my doctor feels I'm consuming too much.I feel psycholohical ashamed of my-self and truly feel that this life must stop now and quickly if nothing occurs to get back for the way I seemed once. Any ideas from anyone??--Message edited by CancerCompass staff. Kidney Cancer And Its Consequenses

Postby Elphin » Thu May 08, 2014 8:09 pm

Hi There,I am sorry you are having so much difficulty with all your physical problems.  It sounds like for 10 years, though, your kidney cancer has been fairly stable, and that's a good thing, right?  Lots of people don't live 10 years with kidney cancer, so that is something positive to focus on.You mentioned a lot of other problems including heart problems.  It seems like maybe some of your problem might be fluid retention which can be more of a heart issue than a kidney issue depending on the situation.  Have you had your thyroid checked?  Maybe if your thyroid is underactive you might need some medication to get your metabolism going.  Underactive thyroid can cause weight gain if untreated.Regarding your appearance, I don't know what to say.  I'm not happy with the way I look, either, but sometimes we just have to play the cards we are dealt.  People don't understand, I know, but strangers don't know what you've been through and how much you have survived.  You must be a very strong person to have made it with so many health problems.  God has a purpose for you to be here or He would have taken you a long time ago, so please don't give up on yourself.  I wish you the best and will keep you in my prayers. Sorry my answer wasn't very helpful, but I just don't know what to say.  I am sorry that anyone would have to go through all the things you are dealing with right now.  Hang in there,Nancy
