Have you ever been told that your thyroid is 'normal' w/o having been tested for thyroid antibodies?

If so, you very well may have been told wrong!

The most common thyroid problem (BTW, it is almost epidemic) is HypOthyroidism and most common reason in US is Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis which is found by checking the level of thyroid antibodies ... did you know that? If you think you may have it ... MANY do & do not know it ... INSIST on testing for thyroid antibodies. God bless

Have you heard of Kaiser? They don't do anything that will cost them money unless it's cancer testing. They don't want to get sued if someone gets cancer and they didn't find it. Yes, had thyroid tested a few times and they said it was normal. Do you read what the Newsmax doctor (natural medicine) says? He give a lot of information that the regular doctors don't look into.

Quite frankly...i believe you. I have had symptoms of thyroid disease for over 20 years now. Though all my tests have come back as "normal" i still think there is a problem. I especially dont like the fact that they lump us all into a "normal" catagory. Though our bodys all run the same, our body chemistries are different which means some people may need more or less of a certain hormone or chemical to make "their" body perform its functions properly. Its all garbage! Even testing for thyroid antibodies may turn up a wrong answer!
