The CSA (Cervical Specific Antigen) blood test is a test for cervical cancer that should very well replace the unreliable pap smear. This is a simple blood test that is noninvasive alternative to cervical cancer screening. It also bothers me how much they stress screening for these types of cancers, but not as much as the more common cancers. I've heard more about the ones that involve invasive screenings than any other screenings.
Being sexually molested when I was younger, I feel like having such a test is completely unnecessary when there is a great, more accurate alternative that will not psychologically harm anyone? If you're interested, look into this, and ask your practitioner about it! It's about time we moved on from this intrusive exam. If it's such a stressed test, why don't we improve on it? Certainly it's not the best we can do. We now have a blood test for this and it seems like some kind of secret or something.
