Can A Skin Cancer Mole Produce More Moles That Are Nearby The Cancerous Mole, Or No?

Postby patamon » Sun Jan 15, 2017 5:18 am

basically i was just wondering because I have a weird looking mole that I've been ignoring, and then a new mole near it (not right beside it but close enough) appeared too.
Is this a bad sign or no? By the way, both moles are in areas that are NOT exposed to sunlight, but I was told that you can get skin cancer in areas that aren't exposed to the sun, so I'm a little concerned....

thanks

By the time you can see a malignant mole, if it is malignant, it could already be deeper into your body.
Regardless of whether the second mole is attributed to the first mole or not, you need to get them both checked out immediately.

Skin cancer can and often does appear in areas not exposed to the sun and does not need to be associated with a mole.

Cancer can create satellite lesions, but they do not crate moles.
