Bladder Cancer Ct Scan Report

Postby Caster » Sun Aug 24, 2014 3:50 am

My father was diagnosed with Papillary urothelial carcinoma of low grade malignancy.  It was a 10 cm bladder tumor & was removed via TUR 1 month ago.  The biopsy results said non-infiltrating stage(nothing in the lamina propria).  It looked good for my dad.  Now 3 weeks after surgery, the CT scan report says this(below), can you tell me what all this this means?

Irregular Wall Thickening w/lobulation involving posterior right trigone region.  This is compatible with urinary bladder wall tumor.

There are multiple retroperitonial lymph nodes, the largest measuring about 1.2 cm seen at the renal hilar region.

There is lubulated enlargment of the left adrenal gland.

Both kidneys contain multiple cortical cysts.

Liver - spleen - pancreas - pelvic organ: not remarkable(normal)

Conclusion: Adrenal gland suggestive of metastasis.

Nina:

The purpose of this forum is to answer general questions about urological healthcare.  What you are asking would be outside of this guideline.

However, I will tell you that the report suggests that there could be metastatic disease in either the adrenal gland or lymph nodes so you really need to talk to his urologist about this.
